GAMELAN PADHANG MONCAR with JOKO SUSILO (dhalang) presented Wayang Kulit (shadow theatre) at the SE Asian Night Market on the Wellington Waterfront (near Te Papa).
Joko presented The Battle for Pringgandani, an episode from the Indian epic the Mahabharata.
The event was supported by a grant from the Asia:NZ Foundation and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia.
