The NZ Indonesia Association in combination with Gamelan Padhang Moncar presented a documentary film series by Dutch filmmaker Leonard Retel Helmrich.
This was partly a fundraiser for our upcoming gamelan tour to Indonesia in July 2013 performing a programme of new works by NZ composers in many centres, including the International Gamelan Festival in Yogyakarta.
Each screening was preceded by a short performance by one or more of the following ensembles:
Gamelan Padhang Moncar
Gamelan Taniwha Jaya
Gamelan Ngripto Raras (Indonesian community gamelan).
