A celebration was held at Te Kōkī New Zealand School of Music to mark the 40th anniversary of Gamelan Padhang Moncar on permanent loan from the Embassy of Indonesia and to welcome a new set of Chinese musical instruments gifted by Confucius Institute
Both Gamelan Padhang Moncar and Gamelan Taniwha Jaya performed, as well as several Chinese soloists on the new Chinese instruments.
Budi S. Putra, Briar Prastiti and Carina Esguerra also performed some macapat after the speech from the representative of the Indonesian Embassy.
